No, we bought one that we would both carry. I didn't want to deal with transferring stuff from bag to bag, or worrying about keeping two bags stocked all the time. We got this one:
Arg! Stupid Bump ate my post complete with links and pics...
Anyway, yes, DH has his own Diaper Dad Backpack that we mainly use for long day trips and traveling...it holds a ton of diapers, wipes, extra clothes, toys, etc.
For most of our around town and out and about trips I use a Kushies Large Dry Bag stuffed with a few diapers and wipes, a burp cloth and some bum cream. It fit nicely into one side of my largish purse (a Franco Sarto Carlisle Tote Bag).
No. I asked him if he wanted one because the one I have is pretty girly (Skip Hop Studio), but he said no - he seldom takes them anywhere without me, and if he does, the diaper bag is strapped on the back of the stroller anyway.
So, as he put it, "It's not like anyone is going to look at the twins, stroller and bag and assume I'm carrying a big girly purse. And even if they do, so what? It's just a diaper bag."
I was surprised - I thought he'd want one but he really doesn't care!
Yes, because he wanted it. But I think it's useless. Still, he loves it. He has a black Diaper Dude messenger bag.... It was a shower gift. I wanted to return it!! But he insisted that I let him keep it. In exchange, he got me a nice Kate Spade diaper bag for my bday. He also let me use $200 I got from returning a gift at Nordys to buy my beloved Storksak.
MOST of the time, we use my diaper bag. So when we all go places, on weekends, we use mine.
(We do not take a diaper bag to and from daycare. We just take a cooler with her bottles. If she needs food or diapers, wipes, something else, we put it in a Lululemon bag and take it in. She has a paci in her car seat and we have an "emergency" pod with changing pad, diapers, wipes in the car, also have burp cloth in the car and loads of toys.)
DH uses his diaper bag on the days where he is off with A, so like every other Monday. I help him stock it or he stocks it. On those days, it's helpful for him to have that bag. I did not want to get a bag that we could both carry because ... Well, that's what his bag was supposed to be ... a bag we could both carry ... But I don't like it!! I want my pretty bag!! And since I was off for 6 mo and carrying it every day... It was well worth it!!

For us, we share one. Our diaper bag is a little black one-shoulder backpack with no decorations. He doesn't want/need his own and I didn't need a nice/purselike one so we just have one (that we got for free) that we share. I like that it's nice and compact but we may need to upgrade to a bigger one later (I just plan to use a messenger bag or something that we have already). For some reason, i just can't bring myself to buy a diaper bag when I have tons of bags already that could easily be used as one. But yea, I think it depends on you and YH. If you want a fairly girly diaper bag, he may not want to use it.
MH doesn't have a diaper bag, but he bought me one (for mother's day this year ) that's a pretty gender-neutral messenger-bag type. so i imagine if that one works out, we'll both use it as-needed.
we don't have a separate one for him either. he rarely goes anywhere w/her w/o me and when he does, he just leaves our "car diaper bag" (it's always in there) in the car and retrieves it if he needs it. i asked him if he wanted a diaper dude bag before she was born and he said no.
we share a columbia backpack that we picked out BRU and since we had a boy he said his son wasn't going to use a girly looking bag and that is what we both use and so far it has worked out ok
I think I really want to use a Lesportsac bag as a diaper bag (maybe the medium weekender?). I really like the lightweight feel of Lesportsac, as well as the cute fabrics. I saw this fabric called "Island Cuties" at the outlet store last night. It's an exclusive Hawaii fabric and was 20% off. I still couldn't afford it, but it was oh so tempting. I'm not sure how MH would feel about toting around something like this, though. Not very manly/boyish and would probably get dirty pretty quickly.

Cuuuuuuute! You're right about the dirt factor though - the white would probably show smudges pretty easily (the pattern might distract from it, but I dunno...).

D started out as a LUCKY CHARM but ended up being our LOVEBUG hawaii 10.2008 plan ;P married bio ???
I have a kate spade bag, DH has a diaper dude. I don't think he would care one way or the other but I don't want him carrying mine - he would drop it in a mud puddle or something.
We don't really transfer things back and forth, I guess each one always has a changing pad and disposable wipes, then we toss whatever else we need in there as needed.
Jack has a small backpack that we pack everyday for daycare.
Is there any chance you could point me towards a store that carries this bag?? My wife and I were in HI on vacation and she saw this bag and fell in love with it, but we did not know we were pregnant yet. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hey, Lisa! Check this out:
I should show this to Brian and see what his reaction is.
SNOOOOOPY!
You must get that one! MUST! And it's baby-ish but not too girly for Brian.
i LOVE both of these!! i didn't think I'd want a super baby-themed/cute bag, but those are too adorable, hehe
