Cloth Diapering

It's almost fall... Pants sizes for CDing?

I was just wondering about pant sizes as I am looking at all the cute clothes I want to buy for Jackson for fall. For the mommy's who have CDed for a while, what do you do for pants sizes? I have a few shorts for the summer that Jack can't fit into anymore with a CD on, he spent most of the time in just a onesie. Are you supposed to buy a size up? Or do you have a certain brand name that seems to fit well with a cloth dipe underneath? I love cute little jeans on a baby but I'm not sure what to do with pants when it comes to using cloth diapers.

  • in stretchy pants, we buy her correct size. In things like jeans, we buy a size up.

  • I only buy her stretchy pants (in her actual size).  My DD has very short legs so if I buy a size up in jeans, etc they are WAY too long for her.  So, stretchy pants it is!

  • I have found that the cheaper brands usually are cut bigger in the rear. Julia has a cute pair of jeans from wal mart in her actual size, the brand is riders. I think Carters runs small/low rise so we size up for that brand. The circo brand at target also seems to fit well.
