Number 2 nightmare

My LO has been using underwear and going potty for about a month except for nighttime when she wears a diaper just in case and she requests a diaper for going number 2. Yesterday she was asking for a diaper and saying that she had to go number 2 but everytime I out a diaper on she would take it off and say she wanted her panties. This went on for about an hour and she said she did not want to seat in the potty for #2. Well fianlly she started screaming because she started going # 2 whole wearing her panties so I picked her up and sat her in the potty, no time to put the diaper on. So she screamed bloody murder the whole time. Then at bedtime she refused to wear a diaper. Now today the same thing happen with # 2. She was screaming that she didn't want a diaper and screaming that she didn't want to seat in the potty. What can I do to help her???

have you let her see you put #2 in the potty?  I think it's a really scary thing for them, and it might help her if she actually watches.  I know, weird, but come on!  You're watching her, it's only fair right? Also, is she on the big toilet or a little potty chair?  My DS doesn't like to go in the big toilet and so until he really starts to get it, I let him sit on the little potty in front of the TV (the only time he gets TV), and it kind of takes his mind off of it.  I sit right there with him and remind him to push.  WOrks for us.  Good luck!

Honestly, this was us nearly verbatem on Tuesday. We were out at a friends and I spent an hour with him telling me he needed a pee (but it was obvioulsy a poo). We were off and on the potty every 5min. He was whiney and anxious. Finally I got him sitting on the potty, pooing, fully clothed, and told him it was okay, next time maybe we'd get his pants off...

I like the tv idea, but it's tricky if out. I did try that today for 15min when I thought he needed it, but no dice. We'll see next time!
