New to the Area!

Hello all,

My husband and I just moved to The Woodlands from California. We are expecting our first baby girl November 19th, and are thrilled! We both work from home and are looking to find other couples in our area.

For me I am really looking to find some ladies who have children or are expecting as well. This is my second try writing a post on this website. The first time somehow I managed to delete it, with a post from a very nice lady telling me about prenatal classes at the Y. Which I am going to find out about!

So far my husband and I love the area, it's beautiful and everyone is so nice! 

Does anyone else live near or in The Woodlands???

Welcome! I live right by Missjake so no help here either but there are quite a few nesties who live up north (I saw your post there too). My BFF just moved from the Woodlands and her baby is due in early Oct so that woul have been perfect for you!

My family still lives in the Bay Area- part of of Cali are you from? We go back several times a year to see my family and I miss it terribly! Especially during the brutal summers.

I am actually born and raise in Houston Texas. Grew up in Spring Branch and the Memorial area. So I know about the evil summers!! I moved to Orange County about 8 years ago for school. Met my husband there and decided to move back to Texas, my whole family is from here as well, and with a baby on the way I really wanted to be close to all of them. My husband is a different story.... He is from California, born and raised. So this summer is really getting to him! I keep telling him the cool weather is coming soon!!!!! 

We both miss the weather terribly in California but the people are so much nicer out here!

I am in The Woodlands as well, and also work from home!  How funny!  My husband isn't so lucky.  Our son will be 2 in October.
