TTC After a Loss 6 Months+

Thanks for the tip

Okay, first of all, if this ends up being a double post, I apologize.  I had it all typed up, and got a Bump burp, so I have no idea where that last one ended up...

I'm chatting online with my (FH) cousin, and updating her on the test results and next steps.  What is her advice, you ask?  Oh, I'll share, since I'm sure its proven in a lab somewhere:

If all else fails, seriously. try a bottle of wine and a wild night. If nothing else, it'll be a distraction.

Um, yeah.  So, thanks.

    Wow, that is pretty insensitive.

I am repeatedly told to have a drink a bottle of vodka and eat a cheeseburger and it will work.  yep, that is the problem, yep.

  • Wow.  People are so clueless.  I'm sorry.

  • Nice.  She sounds like a gem.

As an aside, how were your results?  I still don't have mine.  It is driving me crazy.

Basically, I'm getting retested.  My progesterone was low, but my cycle was shorter than normal, so they want to check it again before acting on it.  My biliruben was slightly elevated, but not enough to be a concern.  My glucose was right on target, as was my thyroid.  My insulin testing wasn't frozen and was supposed to be, so I'll have that done again when I go back in for my progesterone.

    Lovely.

Maybe I'll try the wine, vodka, and burgers from now until then.  Surely I'll be KTFU, right??

Hmm...well, those certainly are mixed results.  I hope you get some answers soon.

In the meantime, definitely try all of those things and please, in the name of all that is holy, also relax.  I have heard that helps. No

  • Oh... I thinks... why didn't we think of that?!?
  • Why didn't I think of just having a bottle of wine, better switch over from the other alcohol I usually drink to exclusively wine.

  • Sometimes I wish you didn't have to go to jail for *** slapping someone when they make stupid comments like that.  In preparing some of contacts at work for my time off next week for surgery I have been told repeatedly this week that if I just relaxed it would happen when I least expected it.  I want to scream at them that no it won't, my uterus is messed up, my tubes are messed and no amount of relaxing will help that.  And by the way it won't ever happen when I least expect it because I track my cycle like a manic so I would surely know if it were to happen.
