diaper rash?

LO has a crazy rash on her diaper area, but I don't think it is a diaper rash.  She has only had little spots of diaper rash before and this has spread over a pretty big area.  And apparently it is itchy because she goes at it when her diaper is off. 

I have been letting it air out (yes, I have cleaned up a lot of messes)  and applied an antifungal cream at morning and night.  Anyone know anything about what this is?

Did she get any shots recently?  Hannah broke out in a bad rash on her butt at her 1 year shots.  Lots of destin and a week later it cleared up.  Get any kind of cream high in zinc oxcide and put it on several times a day.  It should clear it up.

For our most recent rash I had the most luck with using an application of lotrimin AF, topped with a layer of aquaphor. Do that twice a day with applications of just aquaphor inbetween and it cleared up in a couple of days.

DD got a yeast infection which really surprised me because I thought you could only get that internally but I had my Dr check it because we happened to be there for a well visit and she prescribed a cream for it. It took awhile to go away too. If it looks different than a diaper rash I would take her to the Dr so you can get the cream because nothing else helped when DD had it.
