I am asking this on behlaf of my sister, who had her baby last week. My sister has decided to FF. Since day 1 her son has been very fussy at night and all night all. He wakes up screaming and everything. In the hospital they gave enfamil, but the nurses told her that alot of moms finds enfamil very thick and hard to digest and they recommend Nestle Good Start. I can't give her any advice cuz my son loved enfamil and we had no problems... so does anyone have any suggestions, or what formula you found better, or if you used good start, how did you like it?

We had this problem with Similac in the early days. We switch to Similac sensitive and it was WONDERFUL! IT was for gas/fussiness and it was such a difference between the two. If enfamil has a sensitive I say try that. If not try similac. I didnt like enfamil.

First off, this sounds normal for a one-week old who probably still has nights and days mixed up. My son was extremely fussy at times, esp. at night at this age to the point that I wondered if he had reflux or lactose intolerance. he didn't. he was just tired or hungry nearly all of the time at that age.

Did she try to breastfeed?
