Runners - BOB Ironman vs. Revolution

Thoughts?

I was surprised the the ironman was less expensive than the revolution, as I heard it is better for running distance? Although the Rev looks like it would be more comfy for the kiddos because the seats can recline.

I've already registered for my first PP races (next spring), and I'm hoping to run with the babies when the race will allow me to do so.

TIA!

  • The ironman has a fixed front wheel.  The revolution has a front wheel that can swivel or be fixed.

  • i have the ironman. it is very comfy - we do runs between 7-10 miles on a regular basis. however, the stroller is very wide.  it is really only a jogging stroller, whereas the Revolution is more versatile and can be used for every day stuff.  So, it just really depends on your needs.

and i am not sure about the Revolution but the only way you can fit the Ironman in your car is if you have an SUV.  i bought a new car just to accomodate my stroller...haha!

that all said, running with my babies has been one of the best parts of motherhood. i feel like its been a real bonding experience - so you are in for a treat!

  • I agree with pp. We have the ironman, and while my boys are too small to run, we do walk with it.  It's a beast!

I loooove it though.  I posted a picture of our first walk on my blog if you're interested.

  • We have the Revolution. We use it for everyday use and love it. You can still fit through doors and it does fit in my car ( volvo s40) Plus I love that the front wheel swivels or locks. So when we do run or go down to the beach we just lock the front wheel. Otherwise with the front wheel unlocked it is so easy to turn even in tight spots.
  • the Ironman is for serious runners... the revolution for more causal runners - it's more of an all-terrain stroller than a jogger.... used for light running.
