We just bought a couple more boxes of diapers (they're on sale right now) and I'm wondering if we have enough of newborn or if we should get more to take advantage of the sale. I realize it depends on her weight and size when she's born but just on avg...about how long can we expect to use newborn size?
Re: how many newborn diapers did you go through? or how long did you use them?

We just switched out of NB diapers a few days ago. So, a little over 5 weeks of NB diapers at 8 to 10 diapers per day.
I started with only two of the small packs of NB diapers (72 diapers total). The hospital sent us home with about 30 more diapers in NB size. We did buy a few more packs but probably could have moved to size 1 a little sooner.
We just switched to size 1 today. He's kinda in between newborn and size 1 but the newborns are just to small.
I'd buy more size 1's than newborns if your worried. I really thought I'd have a bigger baby than I did so we didn't really stock up on newborn sizes but more size 1's.
Plus I was dead set against using Pampers with dry max becuase of all the concerns with it but that ended up being what fit for newborns. I had to use it.
I thought I would add on to what pp said about Pampers being the newborn size that fit. We tried Huggies NB because it was given to us and they leaked like crazy! I hated them and didn't think I would ever use Huggies but now that's what I prefer. Pampers definitely seems to fit snugger when I occasionally put him in them. That's probably why the swaddlers worked so much better. Just thought I'd tell you my experience in case you have the same one. Good luck!
