Why do D&C's keep haunting us...I know I'm not the only one

A friggen year later.....yesterday I get a bill for over 6000.00 from my D&C from last year!!! They are after me for the money because they don't feel like my insurance company has paid enough of the bill. (they paid over 700) plus paid the doctor separate cuz he was a douchecanoe and billed separately. (the first one I had was done in office by a different doc and they charged under 2000 for all of it) Best part is that they (the dr's office people an surgery center) told me that it was in network and covered but now they're all changing their stories and shiiit well even if I do owe them money for being out of network I only owe 300.00 not 6000!!! WTF!! They have given me less than 30 days to pay duuuuuuuuude why have you waited a year to bill me?!?!?! I hated this place from the min I got there, they were the ones that tried to make me get put under when I didn't want to. Why can't they just do like every other doctors office and just take what they're given and stop being greedy!!! I was there less than an hour!!

That's crazy! I don't know much about insurance, but I hope they'll end up covering more!

That sucks, I'm sorry.  I got bills for months after my d&c & ended up OOP about $1900 after insurance paid.  Sucked.

That is just ridiculous, I hope they figure it out soon because that is crazy they waited so long and want that much money.

Fight the bitches!!!  Insurance companies do everything they can to get whatever money they can.  Continue to dispute it and they will more than likely make an adjustment to your bill.

Fight it for sure.  I have a 2500 deductible on my HCP, but it resets every year, could this be why they waited, so the insurance co would only have to pay $3500?
