Just by looking at the dimensions of it, I'm going to guess probably not. The base is almost 20" wide. They might fit, but it would be very very tight. You won't need a seat like that for a loooong time though (especially because on the Britax site they say you can start using it at 2 years and 25 pounds) so I wouldn't even worry about those right now.
If you're looking for a convertible that you can use from birth, that will also last you a while and fit in a car, the Sunshine Kids Radians are great. They go up to either 65 or 80 pounds (depending on the model), and I think 53" tall, and are only like 14.5" across on the bottom (I think, don't quote me) and will definitely fit 3 across in even smaller cars. We have them for our kids, and love them. They're still RF'ing right now, and these seats should get us well into the booster stage, if not completely through it. I'd have to go look at the laws for heights to be out of a booster, but I *think* they're a couple inches taller than what the seats go to.
we have a ford escape (DH's car) and have 3 convertible seats across - you have to install with the seatbelts - can't use latch b/c latch tends to pull seats towards the middle, wasting space on the sides. it's just as safe - so not a problem.
you'd have measure and see if there is enough room - also- consider they'll be rear facing for a while (we are rear facing up to 2 y/o for our boys) and often the bigger seats do not fit well rear facing behind the driver's seat without having to put it way up... and for me, that is not an option - so we couldn't use our Britax behind my driver's seat.
We got a combi Coccoro for behind my driver's seat (in my minivan) and will use the Britax when we turn him forward facing at 2 y/o - which is probably when the Combi will become a little small for him.
The combi will fit 3 across almost any car - it's great.
