Need Motivation...

I really need to start exercising, but I can't seem to find the motivation.

I am a full time working mom.  By the time I get home at 5:30, make dinner, feed the baby, clean up, play, bathe and put the baby to bed, I have no drive to go exercise, plus it is already 9ish and I am ready for bed!  The morning time seems to be the only time I will be able to exercise.  However, I can't seem to get my butt outta bed extra early.

I do have a husband, that will take care of the baby in the evening, but I have such limited time with her because I am at work all day, I don't want to miss out.....

Help! Any tips?

  • I would either try getting up early to do it (start out with a small goal, like saying you'll get up early 2 days a week, then go from there) OR I would just let baby hang out with your DH for at least 30 minutes a night so you can do it then -- I know you want to spend time with your LO, but you deserve 30 minutes of "you" time to exercise and be healthy...  there's no shame in that.  Good luck!

  • Maybe you can find a Stroller Strides in your area? Or, like PP said, just take 30 mins for yourself.  If you hit the intensity right, 30 minutes is all you need.
