So...I am not planning on getting pregnant for another few years, but DH and I have been discussing names. Our daughter's name is Lorelei Lizabeth. I was looking for sibling names that go with it.
We tossed around Annalise, which is my favorite but DH was hesitant but has come around. Another name I like is Delaney. Any other names that fit this style?
If DD had been a boy, she would have been Noah Patrick. I am not sure Noah goes well with Lorelei. The middle name will be either Patrick or James (family names). Any other ideas?
Re: Sibling names for Lorelei
I actually really like Analise. I would just find a bunch of names you like and see if they clash. I dont think you will really have any issues with finding names that go well enough with Lorelie. They don't have to flow like one particular childs first and middle names. They are different kids so their names dont have to be all that similar IMO. The only thing that comes to mind is Olivia.
GL!
Yeah...I don't think they have to be matchy, but I just want them to be similar styles. I feel like Lorelei is a beautiful, classic name and I want my other children to have a beautiful, classic name.
I love both Annalise and Delaney!
My neighbors across the street have two daughters named Annalise and Delaney! I would vote for Annalise just because it doesn;t end with the same sound.
I don't think any of your name choices sound odd or out of place with Lorelei. I'll be one of the few to say this, but I like Lorelei and Delaney better than Lorelei and Annalise.
Other suggestions...
Lorelei and Claire
Lorelei and Emmeline
Lorelei and Annabelle
Lorelei and Emma
Lorelei and Stella
Lorelei and Rosalie
Hm. Well I LOVE your boy name, but your girls are nms at all. Noah and Patrick were two of the three names we went into the delivery room with for DS2. So I love each name separately, and especially love the combination together. I think they are both classic names, so you can't go wrong. I don't think there is anything about them that doesn't "match" Lorelei.
Since all of your girl names are nms, I'm not sure any of my suggestions will help, but here are a few classic girl names that I love and think go well with big sister Lorelei:
Clara, Sophia, Juliana (or Julia), Jillian, Eliza, Anna, Vivienne/Vivian, Gwyneth
Completely off-topic: Anyone know why the name Lorelei hit the charts briefly around 1950? I love looking at Baby Name Voyager's graphs on the history of a name, and this name has one of the oddest I've seen (see here). Obviously I know why it has hit the charts recently, but I haven't a clue about the temporary rise between 1940-1960.

Not sure if you are still checking this, but Lorelei was the character's name in Gentlemen Prefer Blondes. It was played by Marilyn Monroe.
I LOVE Anneliese (it's my daughter's name so I'm biased) and I also really like Delaney. We decided to go a slightly different route with DD#2's name, Hazel.
I think Cecilia and Adelaide are a couple that fit in with that style.
I have a Lorelei Sierra, we're currently searching for sibling names too.
Our current girl favorites are Violet, Penelope, Fiona, and Amelia.
As an astronomy lover, I love Orion, unfortunately the hubby doesn't
I hate to break it to you, but Aurora isn't a constellation. It is the result of when nitrogen and oxygen particles become ionized in the earths magnetosphere. The light you see in the sky is the energy being released in the form of photons. Oxygen creates a green color and nitrogen creates a blue or red color (Blue while it's still rather charged and red when it's returning to it's less charged state).
On a more board related note, My daughter's name is Lorelei Marie. We have our boy name picked out, but for a girl we can't really find one we love. I like Vivianne (Anne is a family middle name on my hubby's side), we'd call her Vivie for short. Other than that, everything sounds so...redundant. Nothing really has the unique and classic ring as Lorelei
