Rinse cycle?

This may be a really silly question, but I'm having issues with figuring out settings on my front loading washer.  I would like to run a cold rinse cycle, followed by a full hot cycle with the detergent and an extra rinse.  However, I can't for the life of me figure out how to run JUST a rinse cycle for that first cold rinse!  There does not seem to be a setting for that on the washer. Anyone with a front loading washer without a rinse or soak setting have any input?

Re: Rinse cycle?

  • You could do a short wash instead. That's what I do instead of a rinse even though I have the option.

  • Do you have a prewash option? I do have a rinse/spin setting on my washer, but what I've been doing lately is adding the prewash option (and the extra rinse option, while I'm at it) to my regular wash. I only put detergent in the regular compartment, not in the prewash compartment. So that gets me a prewash/rinse with no detergent, a regular wash/rinse with detergent, and then an extra rinse... perfect!

  • I don't have a rinse setting on mine either, but I have a pre-wash, which i assume does the same thing (I haven't tried it out yet).
