We have decided on Sawyer Trae for our boy name. & Sauyer Lane for our girl name. It's the same name but different spellin. We wanted something unique.
I'm sorry...the spelling Sauyer for your little girl will be difficult for her. She will spend the rest of her life pronouncing and spelling it for others. Sawyer is unique enough for a little girl especially since it generally is considered a boy name.

The fact that Sawyer should never be considered a girls' name aside:
"Sauyer" would phonetically be pronounced Sow-yer or Sour. It would not, under any circumstances be pronounced Sawyer.
Sawyer is my last name and it is often mispronounced as Sour as it is, I can't imagine how often that will happen with your bastardized spelling.
Please reconsider the name; your child will thank you later.
I agree with pp. This sounds like mud. Sauyer is not a rational "new" spelling. Changing an i to y or c to k keeps the same sound. W to u is irrational.

Sawyer is a cute name. It is unique enough for a girl, it doesn't need to be spelled differently.
Sauyer looks very awkward. She will constantly have to correct it. If anything, Sauyer looks less feminine to me than Sawyer.

I totally agree, but I don't think I can leave this one alone. Honestly, Sauyer???
Yes, this is getting so old.
This, sorry.
Please dont do the whole Sauyer thing. Keep it Sawyer. boy or girl.
