Anyone know of one? I'm not hard core AP, but I BF, part time cosleep, BW, and don't CIO. I do believe in vaccinations (while I know this is not anti-AP, it seems to often go with it). At 2 month visit, pedi suggested CIO for up to 20 minutes. I'll go to him again for 4 month visit since it's next week, but am seriuosly thinking of switching. I live in the city but can go anywhere near the beltway.
Re: Need a more AP friendly pediatrician
are you a member of BaltAP? It's a yahoo group and they have a list of pediatricians in the area. I found my pediatrician that way, but she is in Ellicott City. I am not hard core either, and they seem to be open to a mix of AP stuff.

Wow? 2 months? Even the CIO advocates say not to start until 4-5 months.
I would share with him some of the literature. Like there was an article posted about 2 months ago that shows that CIO harms babies brains. You could also share with him some of the information from attachment theory. There is a great chapter in Dr. Sears' AP book too. GL and keep on trustig your momma gut!
(I also agree with joining BaltAP).
I like my pedi, Dr. Minton at Pediatric Partners Towson location. They have a couple of other locations too. https://www.pediatricpartnersmd.net/
She's understanding that different parenting styles work for different families, and she'll give you advice but not attack your decisions.
Thanks! And that's a convenient location.
Thanks! Am going to read it now. I have the Dr. Sears book and will show him that, too.
I did CIO, but I think its fuckedup that your pedi sugtgested it at 2 months. Were you complaining/concerned about your LO's sleep habits? FWIW - unless he was really "pushing" CIO for no reason, I'd just keep going to him and ignore his advice about behavior issues.
