I do my all my own shots including PIO, but I do have my husband retrace the circle on each side of my butt that the nurses put there to help me know where to do the shots. Despite the fact we are using permanent marker, the circles do fade very quickly (pardon me for having good daily hygiene!), so DH has to redraw them quite frequently. I noticed last night that the circles are becoming larger and migrating further to the back with each redraw.

Hmm... I think I should have the nurse give us a set of new baseline circles next time I go in before I start hitting a nerve.

You should def have the nurse redraw them for you - you'll be doing PIO for awhile .   

DH gave me a tramp stamp the last time he was remarking for the PIO injections....I'm not sure I trust him with a marker anymore.

Yeah, my DH always giggles when he's redrawing them, and then I have to look and discover the latest smiley face or other such drawing he's made. Hopefully, I can scrub it off enough tonight that I don't have to be embarrassed when I ask them to redraw it tomorrow.

I never had to do injections, but could you get some small fake tattoos to put on the injection sites? That way he can't make them bigger every time.

I suppose that would work, but I think the solution is that he needs to wear his glasses and have better lighting while using less creative liberties.

My DH used to write/draw back there when he was re-doing the circles as well.  Always had to check just in case.  lol
