The last few nights have been MISERABLE - Will waking up every 20 min, that kind of thing. I think I got less sleep those nights than I did when we first brought them home. Anyway, last night the boys slept from 10pm-8am (8am, people! usually they wake up at 7am!) and OMG I feel so good now!
No real point to this post - I'm just well rested and feeling good today lol!

yay!
we had good sleep last night too!
LO missed his 2nd nap yesterday, so he was asleep by 9:30 without a bottle last night! He was up at 6:45, but I gave him a bottle and he was back out by 7:15.
So jealous...I swear, last night I was |thisclose| to doing CIO with Libby. I started her bedtime routine at 7 p.m. and at 11 p.m. handed her to Joseph (who had just come home from work with an armload of groceries) and said, "I'm done." I know, I am a horrible wife. I am just SO exhausted after traveling last week and being sick this week. I fell into bed and at 2 a.m. got up to potty and he was in the nursery STILL trying to get her to sleep. WTH? She has bags under her eyes she's so tired.
I wonder if she's teething (her top teeth look like they'll bust through any day now) or wakeful because she's started to be more mobile (scooting more than actually crawling, but getting around nonetheless and starting to pull up on furniture too) or jet lagged or still off her clock because of being sick or what?!?!?! I am at my wits end. She slept so well when we were traveling last week...I think because she had so much activity (meeting tons of people, car rides, swimming, playing in the grass, etc.). We have got to make sure she gets that kind of activity here at home (which is usually so dang hot that she spends most of the day playing on the floor in her room or our living room, jumping in her jumperoo, etc.).
I had promised to start getting her down in her crib after we return from 10 days in Seattle next month (she'll be bed sharing with me and my mom while we're there) but now I am contemplating working on getting her in her crib now and dealing with post-Seattle when the time comes. Problem is...letting her cry doesn't work. I've tried to let her "fuss it out" and it always escalates in to full-on, pissed off screaming. She's just not the type to settle down once she's upset. She escalates. And will make herself throw-up if we let it go too long. Seriously.
So...not sure what the point of my post is...just needed to vent. So glad you got some rest Lisa. Could the pirates send the memo to my ninja?

Lisa, I'm happy for you but secretly jealous too! This pregnancy is making me COMPLETELY exhausted! I'm hoping for first tri to be over and my energy level to triple... is that unrealistic?! Bella goes down at 7 and gets up at 5:30... I wish she'd sleep until 7!
Lori, So sorry about Libby! We started giving bella teething tabs (which I don't think did a damn thing!) and then after her still being very fussy we caved and gave her ibuprofen at bedtime. She slept MUCH better and you could tell she woke up more rested. I hate giving her meds but I know she really needed it. I always take the natural approach first but it was clear that it wasn't working. Also we let her chew on a cold rag and she LOVED that, sometimes we'd even get the corner of a washcloth wet and freeze it. She'd go crazy for that!
