How long do you leave the CD on your LO??  With the disposables, I leave them on about 3 hours or so, depending on how much is in it.  TIA!

It depends on the diaper. I have cheap thin gerber prefolds that are only good for like an hour. Indian cotten prefolds I'd say 2-3 hours. most pockets with a basic thin insert 2 hours, overnight soaker or hemp well overnight 8-10 hours.

I don't watch the clock too much, I just change when he gets uncomfortable or when I notice he's wet. I think the average consensus is 2 hours, except for naps/nighttime/going out. Most people add some extra absorbency then

I always change right away since the cloth doesn't have the polymer absorbers (which I recently read have been linked to decreased sperm count in boys and later into manhood.... yeah for cloth!) and I don't want the urine sitting on his skin for too long.  I also prefer to use cotton or hemp (natural materials) instead of the polyester.  When I have used the polyester inserts, he can't notice and neither can I, until there are a couple of pees in there.  We also practice elimination communication, so luckily he doesn't have to sit in wet dipes very often.

2-3 hours, max. I left them on longer when she was a newborn and sleeping a lot, and she got a raging diaper rash
