sometimes not until 6 weeks. My betas were in the 1000's and they weren't equal. Even on a FRER. Remember, its a dye thing, not a "how PG are you" thing.
From what I understand, like darkness isn't necessarily any indication of rising HCG, and not to put much stock in it.
That said, when I got pregnant, I POAS everyday and was obsessed with the line getting darker and I put all my stock into it. It made me feel better. I think maybe 15 or 16 dpo I think it was.

With dd my line got gradually darker each time I tested but never as dark as the control line. With this pg the line also got gradually darker each day but this time it eventually got darker than the control line. I agree with the pp it has to do with the dye in the test and not your HGC levels.

Mine never did. I stopped testing at 5w and it wasn't dark at all.
Married on 3.20.2004. It took 30 month, 2 failed adoptions and IVF for our first miracle. We have had 9 foster kids since he was born and started the domestic adoption process when he was 10 month old, we had 4 failed matches in that time. After our daughter was born we brought her home and spent 2 weeks fearing we might lose her because of complications that came up. But Praise God all went through and she is ours forever! Expecting again after IVF
