DH and I cannot agree on a name ... I can see us coming to the hospital with zero names on the list. At this point, I'm just hoping when DS makes his appearance, we have this overwhelming feeling of, "We must name him ___."
I'd like to go into the delivery with 1 name for each sex picked out. At this rate, I hope to have 2 girl names and 2 boy names narrowed down by Halloween!
Yeah, we left the hospital with no name. They make you fill out the birth certificate paperwork, because it has to be filed with the state within 5-7 days. However, they just send it in with "Baby Boy" or "Baby Girl" if you have no name. You have 1 year to finalize a name.
When I was pregnant with DS we had agreed on a name at 5 months. BUT I know that next baby, it will not be that easy. We talk about names all the time and we can't agree on any of them. (for a boy or a girl)
I think as long as you have a list of names or a baby book handy, a name may just come to you when they are born

When I went to the hospital tour I saw they had a baby name book in the family lounge and I was LOL! I think it's probably a common problem.
Our deadline is that we have the baby's name down when we leave the hospital so it can go on the birth certificate. We're not going to finalize it until we "meet" her. Except in the last month or so, one has definitely sifted to the top.
