Naked or in underwear?

I've gotten mixed advice on this topic - I was planning on putting DS in underwear tomorrow and just going for it!  Several people have recommended letting him run around naked.  Any input?

The first day we did naked. Then she saw her panties..... and she really wanted to wear them. She has far fewer accidents in her panties, cause I think she really wants to keep them dry! The first day, with naked, there was pee everywhere! But it was also the first day.

That said, she is naked sometimes. Like, if I know it is inevitable that she should be peeing soon. 

I think leaving them naked is for the ease of running and sitting on the potty quickly. DD is a week in, and kind of starting to get the whole pull down panties thing. But she still needs help.

Underwear!  We had DS is underwear (and nothing else but a shirt) for a few days and he "got it" pretty quickly.  I like underwear for 3 reasons.  One, it gave DS a reason to stay dry (he really LIKE his Yo Gabba underwear!)  Two, it made him feel uncomfotable when wet.  He did not like sitting in wet/soiled underwear.  Three, it saved me a MESS!  Even with underwear, he still peed on the floor at times at first, but the underwear at least soaked up some of it before hitting the floor!  Also, the underwear caught any poop accidents!  I can't imagine him just pooping right on the floor!  GL!
