Yes, you read that correctly. She fell out of the car. I was putting her in her car seat which is a huge struggle these days. She and ds both like to crawl through to the front seat and sit in the driver's seat and pretend to drive. She did that today and since I wasn't in a hurry and we were leaving a family members house, I let her climb. Seemed harmless at the time! I walked around to the driver's seat to get her and it was a perfect storm of mishaps and the next thing I know she's head first on the ground. ugh. Worst moment of my life! So, now that she has a fat lip, a fat nose and a big round mark on her forehead, what do I need to watch for? There really isn't a bump, which concerns me the most. she's acting fine, but she's 22 months so she can't really tell me if she's dizzy or nauseous or whatever. She won't be going to bed anytime soon. We're going to skip our evening plans to stay home with her just to make sure she's ok. MOTY right here!
Re: dd fell out of the car
I hope she heals up fast!
We have never let either of our kids in the front seat. That is one big safety deal for us, and there would be time outs or privileges taken away if either of them crawl up there (DS has tried).

I'm curious why it's a no-no. We were parked in a driveway and the car wasn't even running. You can't shift out of park without the ignition being on and they can't reach anything except maybe the hazards signal. I definitely wouldn't let them up there if the car was running or we were moving. Not trying to be snarky, really just wondering what I'm missing.
Aw, poor baby girl! Don't beat yourself up about it, stuff happens.
My girls have never tried to climb to the front, although they crawl all over the back seat and sometimes into the trunk area (SUV). An injury could happen just as easily that way...
Hope she feels better soon! I would let her go to sleep ,but wake her before you go to sleep to make sure she is okay
