starting to go before telling me

We're on Day 3, and DD is doing fantastic. She's going in the potty every time! She comes to me on her own and says "pee pee", we run to the potty, and she goes! I'm so psyched! However, every time, her underpants are damp because she'd started to go a little before stopping herself and telling me. Is this just to be expected for awhile and eventually she'll tell me before she starts going?
