Granny Smith apples and my tongue

Bizarre.... but I had a granny smith apple with lunch today and noticed that the sourness made my tongue tingle a bit more than normal.  When I looked in the mirror it looked like it made cuts on the front sides of my tongue and my taste buds were larger than ever.  Weird!   Anyone have this with sour foods?

    nothing weird with sour stuff but when ever i eat celery, my tongue feels kinda numb!

    This happens to me with pineapple, I was looking it up and it says that citrus fruits can irritate taste buds on on your tongue....who knew!
