Breastmilk storage/use question

Hi everyone!

I had our baby, Riley Grace, on August 20.  :-)  Quick question re: pumped breastmilk.  About 5 days ago, I pumped a bit and stored it in the fridge for almost 24 hours before transferring to the freezer.  This morning, I thawed that milk and had it at room temperature for about 3 hours as we went to the doctor.  Riley didn't need it during that time frame, so I put it back in the fridge.  Will it still be ok to use today, or no since it went from fridge to frozen to room temp to fridge?  Thank you!

  • Congrats!!!!

I'd use it today.  I *think* that the rule of thumb is it can go to room temp and back to the fridge once.   And that once thawed it should be used in 24 hours.
