Local CD Mamas....

I think there are only a couple of you out there, but I was wondering: Which laundry detergent do you use for your CDs and where do you buy it?

We use a Free & Clear detergent for our clothes, but I know some of them contain brighteners and enzymes, which can be bad for CDs.

TIA!

  • Thanks!  Do you use Charlie's for your own laundry, as well, or do you use it strictly for your CDs?
  • Just using it for CDs. Using Dreft for baby's and Kirkland eco-friendly for the rest of the stuff. All these different ones are probably not necessary, but oh well!

  • a lot of the girls on the EFF board rave about making your own CD detergent.  haven't tried it, but the ingredients seem pretty easy to find, and it's cheap!

  • I use purex free and clear which I was told by the owner of GMD that it's ok to use for our prefolds, we also use it for the rest of our laundry. My friend uses all free and clear for all of her laundry because her kiddos dermatologist told her it was the best detergent on the market for skin issues (he has VERY sensitive skin!).
