If you weaned LO from BFing come in please...

Well we made it to just about 5 months. Not too bad. I think I'm finished now or within a few days of it. I'll be honest, my job is suffering. It is CRAZY at school right now and the pumping is just not letting me get anything accomplished and it's sooo frustrating. Not to mention that DD drinks between 15 and 20 oz at the babysitter and I only pump 6 or 7 oz for three sessions. Sigh...

Annnnnyway, finally found a formula that DD can take and is agreeing with her. After a week or so of introducing it to her she now thankfully no longer complains when I give her a bottle of it.

So...what do I do now?  I cut out my first and second pumping sessions yesterday and today.  Do I just keep cutting out the pumpings and the feedings one by one until I'm no longer BFing her?  Anything else?  Does it hurt? Just wondering if I should wait til the weekend to totally stop so that I'm not in pain at school maybe??? WDYT? WWYD?

Congrats on making it 5 months. I made it almost 4 months but since I go back to work next week, I weaned LO 2 weeks ago.  Anyway, it was about a 2 week process for me.  I cut out a session in the middle of the day for a few days then another a few days later and so on until I was down to only breastfeeding right before bed and first thing in the morning.  The last feeding to go was the first thing in the morning feeding.  When I cut that out, I was pretty sore and full the next day.  I decided to pump a little just to relieve the engorgement and after that, it was fine.  As of now, I feel fine and my breasts seem to be getting back to pre-pregnacy size......I just wish the rest of my body would LOL......good luck!
