So DS was doing good... down to one breastfeed at night, 30minutes, done, back to sleep...
And then it all changed... he got the 4month wakeful or something because he went back up to 2 feeds at night and he started not falling back asleep... But now he's a full 5months old and it hasn't gotten any better... If anything maybe it's even gotten worse... He eats, then he falls asleep, but as soon as I move, he starts feeding again. Then he'll pass out, I get all the way to the crib, but as soon as his butt touches crib, he starts thrashing around and wakes up. If I hold him upright and rock him, he makes moany tired noises, but won't fall asleep. So back to feeding and rocking... Then at the 90minute mark he totally passes out. So after a 90minute marathon of feeding/sleeping/waking you'd think he'd have eaten a lot? but he'll be awake again within 3 hrs again...
I don't want to let him CIO since he legitimately seems hungry. But is there anything I can do to help him fall back asleep? I read a prior post where someone said she uses a light/sound thingie. Does turning on his mobile or getting a gloworm just wake him up more? Help? it's just so frustrating to be at 5months, and for me to still be sleeping 2hrs patches throughout the night. ![]()
