Fake coughing

For the past few dats my DS has had this strange cough.  He will laugh or get excited and cough 6-7 times.  I don't know how cocerned I should be because he seems fine otherwise.  He is eating fine, no fever, sleeping good.  He also doesn't cough in his sleep.   He is getting some teeth and has major drool, maybe it is just what he is swallowing???  Anyone go through this??

DD does it, too-- she smiles and laughs though and I know she is fine... I think it is a new noise and she is just proud she can make it!

Cody has been doing this too. I think sometimes it is for attention, and other times it is because he chokes a little on his excessive drool.

Keegan does it too. He is drooling so much now that I think he is just choking on a little bit of it now and then.

DD does it all the time now too... seems like it's mostly for attention.  It's pretty funny

I woke this morning to hear DD "fake coughing" and my DH laughing and telling our little girl that mama would see right through her fake cough and make her go to school anyway. It was pretty cute.

Glad to hear others have this too.  I also think it is an attention getter and he is so proud that he can do it.  I felt his teeth for the first time today.  He seems to be doing well with that.  I haven't seen much change in him since I noticed they were coming.

This! Parker does it too. I'm sure it's to get our attention as he always smiles/talks/laughs after we look at him when he does it. Also, he has a "cough-crying" sound he makes right when I'm getting ready to nurse him.

Mine does it too and has been doing it for a long time.  Maybe he's excited that its the one sound that we make and he can immitate it.  He coughs and looks at us for a reaction then laughs hysterically!
