Okay, DD doesn't start kindergarten until next year. But I am such a huge logistics person I'm trying to think about how things will work next year.
Our current daycare is not even close to being in our district so we'll have all new before and after school care...which means I have to figure out when to pull her from her current center. DD2 will most likely stay there because we adore the teachers, which means dual dropoff for a few years.
I'm thinking I won't start to receive anything until after the new year at the earliest, but this daycare switching thing is starting to creep in my head. She's been going to the same place since she was 5 months old!
Re: When did you first get kindergarten info?
We didn't automatically receive anything. I had to go pick up a registration packet at the school. Registration starts around April.
I didn't receive any information from the school about which class she was in until 2 weeks ago-she starts next week.
My children's school always has an open house in January and then registration starts at the end of January or beginning of February. So new parents are able to get info at the open house in January. You could call your district or look and ask if they have an open house and when new student registration starts. You can also check their website.
