Gave into my craving last night....

And totally scarfed down an Assorted Sub from a sub place last night for dinner! OMG it was the best thing I have eaten since my BFP. :)

And yes, I know that deli meats aren't a no-no, but I have been avoiding it because there has been Listeria outbreaks over delie meats here where I live, and I just didn't want to risk it. Also, deli meats aren't exactly the healthiest things to eat, pregnant or not.

But I ate it, and it was fabulous. And now I want another. Yikes :)

    Yeah, that listeria outbreak freaked me out a bit too - wasn't is just deli meat sold at Walmart though? 

    If you heat the meat until it's steaming it's OK to eat (if you don't want to worry about the chance of listeria - I've eaten cold deli meat during this pregnancy)

    I live in Canada, so the Walmart outbreak didn't affect me. However, one of our major deli meats suppliers here (Maple Leaf Foods) had an outbreak about a year or so ago. So I decided to just avoid deli meats and not worry. But I really wanted a sub...so maybe I won't completely avoid it :)
