Re: solids

  • Just went to my pedi last night for LO's 4 month check up.  She said after we start cereal to start veggies yellow/orange first then green veggies because the yellow/orange are easier to digest like carrots and squash.  Then after veggies start fruit.

  • I would just continue with the cereal until your next appointment.  We started cereal a little early too -- at 3 months.  We did rice cereal first then oatmeal (he hated rice so we only give oatmeal now).  At 4 months old he started on other solids with pedi's blessing.

There is no need to progress him to other solids.  If cereal is doing the trick just continue until pedi says otherwise.
