Nursery Progress Pics

Hello all,

There is nothing I love more on the Bump than nursery pics so I thought I would pass along our progress. The room is painted and the furniture is all put together! Thankfully! I think we are going to do a sailboat theme. We live on the North Shore in MN and spend a lot of time on the water.

awe, that is all too cute! you have soo much clothes, i have 2 outfits ha, sure kicks my butt in gear, time for me to start shopping. love the nursery & your furniture, you did a great job on the painting and on the set up, i also really like the windows in there too. wish i was able to paint & get all the nursery items, but im gonna have to keep it simple since i live in a one bedroom apartment.

Thanks ladies! The stripes and colors are my pride and joy and for once in my life I got to pick out the exact furniture that I wanted. It is perfect. I do have to say that all the clothes are hand -me-downs but are in great condition. I just love the way they look in his drawer. I never knew washing clothes could be so much fun.

I love the stripes on the wall! Did you or DH paint them yourselves? Do you have flat walls or textured walls. I'd love to do this in our nursery, but our walls have a little bit of texture to them and I think it'd be hard to tape off and paint.

We did it ourselves and it was a huge job. I am not sure if I will ever paint stripes again but I do LOVE how it looks. Unfortunately we do no have flat walls. They are plaster and have texture on them which made the job all that much harder. We bought blue "delicate" painter tape and painted away from the tape. The lines did bleed a few places so we touched them up with a tiny paint brush. The taping took us almost a whole day. We ended up having to draw a line down the whole wall and not just at the top and the bottom. What a job. Good luck!
