Babies: 3 - 6 Months

If you have an Evenflo Exersaucer, come in...

DS is 5 months old and loves his jumperoo so we thought we'd get his exersaucer together as another activity station to play with.  We put it together this weekend and when we put him in it, he is tipping forward.  DH found him in face plant position yesterday when he got out of the shower!

Did anyone else have this problem or know why this might be happening?  He seemed to be ok when he was in more of a seated position rather than standing.  DS is quite tall but I have it on the lowest setting.  Any suggestions on how to keep him upright?   Thanks!

  • Pad the seat area in front of him and/or behind him with dish cloths/towels.

  • We have the same problem!  And DS is 5 months too.  I put a dish towel in front of him to help him stay up straight.

My LO is average in height and we have it on the middle setting.  I read that they should only touch the ground with their tip toes.  Is your LO standing flat foot?  Not sure if that would cause the problem.  My LO does go forward in hers too, but because she is shorter, she doesn't face plant.  I would use the towels to keep LO in place better.
  • There's lots of room in that seat. We use a blanket or two and put all around her. If we don't she will lean to the side or forward for sure.  Blankets or towels should do the trick.

  • Thanks ladies!  I'll definitely try the towel/blanket method.
