If you had to choose.....

between buying a bumbo, exersaucer, jumperoo or johnny jump up, what would you buy?

I know the bumbo doesn't really fit in the same category as the others...but I can really only afford to get one of these items for DD right now as we are making an out of state move at the end of the month and short on cash. However she wants to be sitting up and bouncing around more than ever (arches her back when I put her in the carseat and bath or down on her back in general).

Exersaucer.  But I would go on Craigslist and check out the listings for a bumbo too.  You can get one for cheap.  Just a little bleach water and that bumbo is brand new

Wow, I really don't know if I could choose between his bumbo and jumperoo.  At least I can help narrow it down, one of those for sure!

have you checked out Once Upon A Child?  I got a Johnny Jump Up there for B for like $10.

I am undecided between the exersaucer and the jumperoo (and don't know what the johnny jump up is), but if you had to eliminate one, I would eliminate the Bumbo - the window of time in which the Bumbo is useful (before they start sitting unsupported) is very small compared to the other ones in your list.

I am planning on buying from craigslist...that is where my bouncer and swing came from and they are in great condition!

Maybe I should sell the bouncy seat for a bumbo and the swing for a jumperoo......then again I don't really know how much longer she will using the items I already have.

Personally, I hate our Bumbo and wish we hadn't bothered with one.  Especially now that it's been said that they are bad for lower trunk strength development.

We have a jumperoo and DS likes it already.  I vote for that or an exersaucer, which he also likes (uses one at daycare).

Our physical therapist recommended the Bumbo for short periods of time starting at 3-4 months, and said no exersaucer or anything that holds LO in a standing position, like, ever. Where did you read that about the Bumbo?
