Babies: 3 - 6 Months

How does Gymboree sizing run?

Big, small? DS doesn't have any Gymboree yet, but I'm looking at a cute outfit on ebay that will be his Halloween "costume". All I can find is 6-12 months, it looks huge, but I'm thinking he may be in that size at that time. He'll be a couple days shy of 5 months, and he's pretty much in 3-6 in most other brands now. TIA!

Re: How does Gymboree sizing run?

  • I think they run a little longer than old navy, like one size, if that helps any

  • I find they run a bit smaller than Carters (way bigger than Gerber).  They're not great for real chubby babies.

  • Gymboree runs small.  My LO always grows out of gymboree at least a month before he grows out of Carters - I think they are 25-30% smaller
  • I was gonna say they run big.  Granted, he only wears onesies but the gymboree onesies that he has are way bigger than the "little me" (BRU) brand & just a bit roomier than carter's onesies.

he's in 3-6 (gerber 12mo bc they run crazy small)

  • This is a hard question because it fully depends on what you consider an accurate size. Do you have any Carter's clothes? I've found that Gymboree is a little wider and shorter than Carter's. I hate the vague 6-12 months size. Old Navy does that too. My son is in 12 month clothes and there is no way in heck 6-12 month Gymboree would fit him. I think it's closer to 6 or 9 month Carter's clothes.
