T&P please - Warning - Scary Story

Hello December mommies.

I have always been a lurker here but was due on December 13th, so I feel connected to you all.

I will spare you all of the scary details but I had to have an unexpected emergency C-section last Tuesday night (the 24th). I had no complications leading up to it and still don't know what happened exactly. I actually had a a scheduled U/S and regualr appointment the day before and all seemed normal.

I know I don't know you all but please pray for my sweet baby girl, Amber MIchelle. She was born at only 24 weeks. She is fighting hard on life support in the NICU and staying stable. So far all of her complications have been expected for her age.

I know you said you would spare us the scary details, but I would like to know what happened. What was the need for your emergent c/s.

I am so sorry you are going through this right now.  I am glad to hear that you and Amber are doing good right now.  The NICU is a roller coaster with a lot of ups and downs.  Hang in there I have seen many 24 weekers grow up to be happy healthy babies.  My thoughts and prayers are with you, YH and Amber.

Wow...I'm so sorry to hear that! I really hope you and she do great! I think that medical advances are such that she has a good chance, though I recognize it will be hard going for you and your family for a while. My thoughts are with you and I hope she turns out healthy.

T&P are definitly with you!  I wish you and Amber the best of luck with what you're going through.  Just remember - The dugger's little girl was born at 25 weeks and she's still fighting strong!  So I'm sure you're little girl will do the same thing.
