I've done yoga for years and it is honestly the only thing that's helped my back pain while I've been pregnant (except a prenatal message). Your instructor should have some modifications for you as you get further along certain poses are out (like being flat on your back) but you will be surprised how much you can still do! We got lucky our prenatal care nurse is a yoga instructor as well and she gives me great ideas to go along with the DVDs we already have.
My yoga instructor was one of the first people I told about my pregnancy, because I wanted to make sure I wasn't doing anything wrong. She keeps an eye on my and lets me know when the class is doing something that I shouldn't be. Basically you can still do everything (even inversions, which I was totally shocked by), except lying flat on your back, and poses done on your stomach (ie, cobra, sphynx, bow, etc). Also, no deep abdominal breathing.

now that my m/s is definitely diminishing, which it never did in my other two pregnancies, I am looking into yoga to help keep me in shape this time around! but I am looking for either a good dvd to use, or a place to go where I live (since I live in a very rural area). I'm having a c-section, so its mainly just to help with the pulling/ stretching that will occur in the 3rd trimester!
Re: Yoga
I did it during my last pregnancy and I plan on starting it with this pregnancy as soon as the m/s goes away.
Talk to your instructor and she should be able to show you modified versions of each pose.

Your instructor should be able to tell you what you can or can't do and what modifications are necessary.
Otherwise you can switch to prenatal yoga
