Watching "I Survived"

Anyone else watch this show?  I'm watching it and these people who called 911 for the victim said they couldn't let her in their house.  Now, this is like the 4th different episode I've seen this, where bystanders do not physically help the victim...Would you leave a bleeding, gunshot victim on your freaking front porch?

I don't know what i'd do. Was it like a stranger and they showed up on your front porch?? There are gangs in the area and sometimes if you are seen helping a member of the opposite gang, you become targeted.

The ones I've watched, the victims were young to middle aged white women.  One episode this woman had been stabbed and shot, crawled across broken glass and gravel to climb up these peoples porch, for them to turn on the light, look out their window right at her, bloody and screaming, then just turn off the lights and go back to bed.  Didn't even call 911.

Wow I'd like to say that I would do anything I could to help a person I saw dying in front of me but it's one of those things that you can't really say unless you are in the situation.

I agree, but your "gut" reaction is to help the person right?!?  Jeez. (to the people who ignored)

ETA - for clarification

I'd probably call and do what i can for them outside. I honestly don't think i'd bring them in. But wow, i'd never ignore them and not dial 911.

I called 911 when the stray cat in the neighborhood got hit by a car in front of my house, so I'd have to say yes I think I would help them.

I think my gut reaction would be to open the door and do what I could for them, then call 911.

I've never seen the show, but my best friend was interviewed for the show a couple weeks ago.  She was kidnapped a year ago and posts on a board for PTSD and they invited her to be on the show.  Kinda crazy.

In my neighborhood I'm probably get them in to safety especially if my husband was home and armed! But if I lived in certain parts of town I probably wouldn't do anything but call 911 either.

I can't stand hearing about how people just stood by and watched. At least they called 911. I'd really have to be fearing for my life or my children to not do something more.

hahahahahhah What did 911 say???  I think I've done this too, but I actually hit the cat I think I called 911 and asked them to contact whoever they had to to pick up the cat.  (I wrapped him in a tee shirt and had to leave him by the side of the road--so sad)

I hear this.  But the fact that people actually do nothing, makes me fear for my future family... What if something were to happen to me/my family and I crawled to a neighbors house for help and they ignored me!?!?

Seriously? What is wrong with people? How could you not call 911?
