With all of my maternity scrubs and now they all have pen ink ALL over them. Anyone have any idea how to get it out? I think it's a lost cause at this point, but I'm willing to try anything since now the only thing I have to wear to work tomorrow has ink stains all over it:(
Re: NBR - put a pen through the wash
rubbing alcohol--it's what 'inks' are dissovled in--or at least close enough. (it worked when the mr. put his uniforms through w/ a pen)
let me find the 'proper' directions, one second
(If you don't have rubbing alcohol...that's why hairspray is supposed to work, it's mostly alcohol. Same w/ hand sanatizer)
do like this says:
https://www.ehow.com/how_13427_remove-ballpoint-pen.html
or
https://housekeeping.about.com/od/stainremoval/a/inkstains.htm
And expect to do it several times.
(keep washing in cold water)
thank you for that - sounds like a lot of work but it's better than spending money on new scrubs for 5 more weeks of work. Will give it a try!
I just read in my book (Haley's Hints, wonderful book) a couple of ways to get ink out:
Douse the stain with hairspray and then rub hard with a bar of soap (bath or laundry). Rinse the garment in cold water. Remember hot water can set non-greasy stains. Launder as usual.
You can sometimes remove ink stains on colored garments by soaking them in milk.
Remove ink stains on white fabrics by rubbing the area with a mixture of lemon juice and salt, if possible hang in a dry and sunny place.
Hope this helps and you get the ink out!
Good Luck!
