DD crying in her sleep

The past two nights DD has been crying in her sleep 3-4 times.  I know she is asleep at the time.  I usually pick her up and rock her and she will usually stop after 30 seconds of being held.  Does anyone elses LO do this or know what it could be?  Ironically she went from sleeping 7-8 with no feeding to 9-10 hours with no feeding the past two nights. I don't know if it is related.

Re: DD crying in her sleep

  • Cadie been whimpering in her sleep the past few nights. She has also cut down on her bottles.  Babysitter and I believe that she's teething since she will eat solids fine, but sucking on the bottle seems to bother her.

  • DS does this a lot. I only go pick him up if he doesn't stop after a few seconds. Most of the time he will cry out, whimper for a few seconds and stop as if it never happened. His eyes are always closed too, so I know he's sleeping. I'm not sure exactly why they do it, but I've seen a lot of people post here that their LO's do this also!

I try to let her go before picking her up but the crying is pretty bad and last 2-3 minutes before picking her up.  It's not just whimpers it is borderline hysterical that is why I am concerned. My poor baby :(
