I never had any symptoms and my son was born at 41 weeks. Not one. I felt like AF was coming for weeks, never had morning sickness, never had tender boobs, never had any cravings, cramps, nothing. I even had some fun bleeding that could have been mistaken for AF, but only after I pooped.
Looking back, I had a lot of symptoms, although I did not know it at the time. I was pretty sick to my stomach and already had some aversions to food, and was super tired. I got a BFN the day I was so queasy. I was super tired a few days later at work, when I got home that night and took off my bra, I remember my boobs being extremely sore. I tested that next day and got a really faint BFP!! Man, I want to feel all of that again!

Some of the symptoms I had were being very tired, ALL THE TIME, I would sleep all day and then sleep all night (usually, I can't even take a nap during the day). Another symptom I had was feeling very sick, so sick in fact that I could only eat a small piece of pretzel the whole day. I continued to be this way up until about 6 months or so.
As for testing, I was young and didn't know anything about charting or anything so I was constantly testing from the second I missed my period until that BFP because I knew something wasn't right.

Most of my symptoms were so similar to PMS and a HPT and bloodwork was my only confirmation. However, around 7-8 weeks, I got super sick and felt like I had the flu all day. I got my BFP at 9DPO with my daughter.
lots of luck!

With DS#1, I just thought AF was on the way, we weren't seriouslly TTC so I wasn't keeping track of anything. I was really super tired and super emotional- then crampy as if AF was on the way.
With DS#2, I was using nothing but OPKs- so 2 weeks after I got a + OPK I tested and got a faint positive. NO symptoms at all! I just knew it was time to test...
Currently, I'm only 2 DPO and besides being crampy and dizzy/nauseated in the morning, which could just be O, I'm very tired, and skin totally broke out- which could just be that I already have 2 kids who run me ragged, I work f/t, and just finished w/finals for my masters program....

The only way to be sure is with a positive test.
