Babysitting Rates

I going to be talking to a few high school kids about babysitting, but I have no idea what the going rate is. How much do you pay? I have one child. Also, what type of questions did you ask when you were interviewing them? TIA

    Over the summer I used a family friend that was home from college and she let me pay her whatever I wanted. When I researched it a bit I came up with $10 per hour. She never had a problem with that.

    between $8-12 is pretty standard. I just asked what she charged, my girl was $8, but I rounded up to the nearest hour so then it ended up closer to $10.
