I am a hormonal mess today

Today was supposed to be DD's 1st day of nap with no paci.....did not go well. She cried for 15 minutes for her "wa wa" before I finally caved. It of course made me cry. I've been running around since she fell asleep trying to get stuff done but I keep forgetting what I need or what I'm doing, which made me cry again. Sat down to watch an old episode of Grey's Anatomy and THAT made me cry!

I am drained!

Re: I am a hormonal mess today

  • I was that way last weekend because I was hungry and my DH wouldn't speed up his getting ready process. I hope the rest of your week is better!!

  • It's okay, I'm pretty sure we all have those days. My worst day so far was the day I missed a call from DH (he's in the military, and calls are scarce) I cried ALL DAY. There were breaks in between, but seriously, all day.

Also, I see commercials and tear up.. There's this iphone or whatever else smart phone commercial where this wife tells her husband, 'you're going to be a daddy...' and every time I can feel the water works starting..

    It's so bad.

  • Warning if you like country music DON'T listen to Brad Paisley's new song 'Just Like Me'   Wow, his son sings the last word I completely lost it the first time I heard it.  The first time DH and I were having a small argument but still everytime now I cry through the whole thing because I know what is coming.

I hope your day gets better :)

  • You are one brave mama, I am dreading getting rid of the pacifier.

As for all the tears, so there with you.

  • I'm sorry you're having a sucky Monday.  I hope it gets better.

Oh, and I've found that I cry during the last song of Elmo's Potty Time lately.  All out sobbing, actually.  I feel your pain.  =)

  • I know the feeling. If I didn't have a meeting in an hour, I would be all over the place here...

  • I just wanted to chime in with what worked for me when we wanted our son to give up his "nuk".  Since I knew neither of us would be able to deal with it just going away I cut the tip of it off.  So, when he tried to suck on it it was "broken".  I let him have it whenever he asked for it, but within a few days he didnt want it anymore.  I know every child is different, but maybe that would work for your daughter too.  I think my little guy was comforted by knowing he could still have it if he wanted it (even if it was "broken").
