When did you start? And when did LO "get it"?

We are not starting for a while. Just curious.

We started DS1 at 2.5.....when he was better able to dress/undress independently.

DD started asking to sit on the potty at 18mo. She's peed in it 3x so far I am not pushing the issue since #2 is almost here but when she asks to go I support it.

14 MONTHS USING THE POTTY BEFORE BATHTIME.

15 MONTHS USING THE POTTY IN THE MORNING, AFTER LUNCH AT BATHTIME. SOMETIMES MORE.

18 MONTHS WILL BRING ME THE POTTY AND OR GO TO THE BATHROOM WHERE THE POTTY IS.

STILL WORKING ON IT, MAIN ISSUE IS WE GO OUT ALOT DURING THE DAY AND THOSE BATHROOMS CAN BE GROSS! SO WORKING ON REMEMBERING TO BRING MY LITTLE POTTY WITH ME.

DD has been showing interest in pottying for a couple months now.  She follows me into the bathroom and tells me "peepee potty" when I go, she comes to me immediately after going in her diaper and tells me what she did, etc.  I started trying to get DD to pee on the potty, just once so she'd know what it was for, a few days ago.  She went yesterday afternoon for the first time, and "got it" pretty much immediately after that.  The original plan was just to get her to understand what it was for and actually PT closer to 2 years old.  After going the first time she now only wants to go on the potty, and hasn't worn a diaper except for sleeping and meal times.  She even pooped on it this morning with very little prompting from me.  I think if this keeps up I'll let her start wearing panties at home, and only use diapers for sleeping and when we go out since I don't think she's ready to handle telling me when she has to go early enough to get to a bathroom in public yet. 

DS however, is nowhere near ready for any of it.  I'm not even going to try and get him to go once until he shows a lot more interest in it.

I just started sitting Hannah on the potty about a month ago while I run her bathwater.  All last week she's pooped (about 4 times) and peed twice in the potty.  She loves it!  I usually only put her on it when I run her bath water but sometimes I put her on it after naps, after she wakes up and before bed.

Also, so I don't get any side eyes... I only leave her on it for a few minutes, I'm not forcing her to go to the bathroom.  SHe'll go when she's ready.  I"m just getting her use to it and letting her sit on it/play on it.
