VICTORY!!!

I tend to avoid the bump when I have absolutely nothing positive to say.  So I've been barely even lurking the past few days.  But finally, today, I am stress free!!!

Some of you know my story, hypotension, on medical leave, being threatened with termination and having to repay insurance benefits by my HR department, and me actually researching the laws and finding out none of that should happen. 

Well today I got an e-mail from my HR manager who finally decided to call the Labor Board and get clarification.  It starts out with this:

"Maybe you have found a new career in HR!"  

They were wrong all along, and I am eligible for another 12 weeks of leave and am NOT obligated to reimburse the company for insurance premiums.  Which gives me the slight chance that I may start to feel better and return to work!!!  WOOOHOOO!!!

I am such a fighter for justice and I feel like I just won a huge battle.  

Thanks for all of the support over the weeks of fighting, you have no idea how much it helped to be able to come here and get everything out of my head, and to hear your words of encouragement.  December mommies are the best. ?

So glad you got things worked out! Was wondering where you were at with all of this! I hate sticky situations like that. It stresses me out too, but glad you can finally relax and hopefully feel better. Glad those guys got their heads out their butts too!

That's great news!  I'm glad things are looking better for you.  I don't remember your original posts, but what your company was trying to do sounds pretty messed up.  Hope you start to feel better!

Congratulations!  You obviously did your homework and advocated for yourself or this probably wouldn't have worked out in your favor.  Three cheers for standing up for yourself!  This is a good lesson for all of us...sometimes the little guy (gal?) does win!

Yay!  So so happy for you!  I was thinking about you last night and realizing that you hadn't posted in awhile.  Glad that things are turning out for the best and your stupid HR dept realized their error.

Yay!!!  Great job!!  I think the HR where I work is trying to pull a fast one, but it is NOT going to happen.  Way to advocate for yourself!!!
