I am not due until the end of December(my first), but friends and family have suggested that I start looking for a pediatrician now. I live in the spring/woodlands area.
If you don't have any recommendations, maybe you can help me come up with questions I should be asking. TIA.
Re: pediatrician recommendations?
We see Dr Bhakta at:

https://community.thenest.com/cs/ks/forums/thread/40211555.aspx
Same chain as Sad's pedi just a different location. I love Dr. Pope and he really tries to help you understand the growth and patterns of your baby. I saw Dr. Sandifer for a sick visit and really liked her as well. I really only had issues with 2 pedis in that practice and it was more of a personality clash than an issue with the pedi themself.
Where will you be delivering? You might want to think about that if you want your peditrician to see your baby while in the hospital after delivery.
Our peditrician is Dr. Tad Shirley on Spring Cypress @ Champions Forest, and we like him very much. The practice is called Family First Pediatrics. It is only him in the practice though. I have heard from friends that og to him also, that he is very reachable on weekends and after hours. Luckily we have never had to contact him after hours.
He also came to the hospital every morning to see DD while we were in the hospital, which was 3 days.
We see the doctors at Forest Pediatrics on 242. We have seen both in the practice. I thimk Dr. Fershtman is a better doctor, but Dr. Elahee has a better personality. They have weeknight and weekend hours which are conveinent if DC gets sick suddenly.
