I got one of those Fancy ones that go across the forehead at Costco for a really good price. I want to say like $25.
Your little hands wrapped around my finger and its so quiet in the world tonight
Your little eye lids flutter cause your dreamin so I tuck you in, turn on your favorite night light
To you everything's funny, you've got nothing to regret
I'd give all I have hunny, if you could stay like that
Oh darling dont you ever grow up, dont you ever grow up, just stay this little
Oh darling dont you ever grow up dont you ever grow up, it could stay this simple
I wont let nobody hurt you, wont let no one break your heart, no one will desert you
Just try to never grow up
Have you seen those ones that you don't even touch LO, you just point a laser at their head and it takes their temp from a distance? Those look awesome, but idk how accurate they are.
I go under his arm; that's how they do it at my pedi's office. I'll check out Costco for the rolly one though.

I used to take the temp under the arm - but then one day Tristan had a 101 fever and since rectally is the most accurate just to be sure I took it there and never looked back.
It's really not that bad to do it rectally - he stays still for the most part. I have DH or MIL distract him usually by playing with him while he is laying on my lap.
I have one of the things that takes the temp in her ear. I don't know how acurate that is. If I really think something is going on, I'll do it rectally. I don't like to do it that way though.

Honestly - I was super nervous about doing it too but LO tolerates it much better than I thought he would. I lay him on his belly during a diaper change and put a toy in front of him - and it only takes about 30 seconds. He doesn't seem to mind it at all.
Rectally is the most accurate and if I call my pedi, that is what they ask for. I took DS's temp this way for probably 18 months. I use the forehead one for him now, but it's not that accurate for an infant. Rectal is really no big deal at all.

we use the ear one -our pediatrician recommended it actually, because I could never get an accurate reading from the temple thermometer we had prior.
I'll do underarm or anal depending on how the underarm comes out. Does that make sense? If she has a temp under her arm, then I do an anal to get a more accurate reading.

I have this one and LOVE it! I can tell the temp of baby, bottles, cat, bath whatever without touching. IMO it's far more accurate than the temporal (I have that one too). I use an 8 second digital rectal before calling our peid. But most of the time the the touchless one is enough to put me at ease (it's not laser the lights are safe for eyes). It's called Thermofocus on Amazon for less than $30.
Re: taking LO's temp...clicky

We have one that goes on his forehead but I haven't used it yet. It came in this healthcare kit we got from Target for $22.
