I've had some odd sensations lately.. particularly yesterday morning. They are very subtle and infrequent, but I'm pretty sure yesterday's was actually the baby. I was laying still on the couch and felt a very soft flip or swipe where my uterus is. I hadn't ate or drank in a few hours, and I didn't have gas.
However... everyone says first time moms don't usually feel anything until 18-20 wks on average. but I've also read that the thinner you are, usually the earlier you feel movement. Ok stick with me here- the average us woman is about a size 14.. I'm a 4/6. Does it sound plausible that I may be feeling my baby??
Re: second guessing movement
I'm a size 6/8 and I swear I felt the baby this morning. I just finished a cup of coffee and it wasn't like anything I have ever felt. I'm going with - WE ARE FEELING OUR LITTLE ONES!
Yeah! Congrats! Yippeeee!
Am I really the only one that took offense to this? I'm sure it wasn't meant to be offensive, but wow. I guess us other average size girls will have to wait (even though I'm a size 10 and I felt DS at 16 weeks and this one at 14 weeks).
I started feeling flutters right at 16 weeks. I feel them all the time now! It's not too early for you, and I'm a sz 6 pre-pregnancy so I'm not super tiny.
At my last appointment, my doctor determined that I have a posterior placenta because we could hear LO kicking like crazy on the doppler. With less of a barrier in between, she said I'm going to feel more movement than other women may. I'm thrilled, I love feeling those consistent flutters. Cutest thing ever!

I'm so jealous! My dr told me at my last appointment that I have an anterior placenta so I won't feel as much movement.
So far I haven't felt a thing, but w/ my DD I started feeling little flutters around 16 wks.
